OCAN Supports House Ways and Means Committee Efforts to Improve Access to Obesity Care

The Obesity Care Advocacy Network is supportive of the U.S. House of Representatives’ Ways and Means Committee’s efforts to take the next step to support access to care for obesity treatments for Medicare beneficiaries. We applaud Committee Chair Jason Smith for his efforts to fight this chronic and life-threatening disease.

As a coalition, our members have worked tirelessly to ensure that Medicare beneficiaries with the disease of obesity have access to comprehensive treatment options. We are grateful to Representative Brad Wenstrup and Representative Gwen Moore for championing our cause to help ensure that Older Americans have access to obesity care.
